| In this module we have looked at worldviews and how they are used to see and explain what is real.
When each view is thoroughly defined, they are understood to be mutually exclusive; a person cannot consistently hold to more than one view at a time. Further, in terms of logic, only one can be true and the others false. We have discussed: The scope of the conflict between creation and evolution | We saw that evolutionary, humanism is a religious philosophy not a science. | | We examined the difference between pantheism and panentheism. | | We studied Christ's acceptance of creation and satan's influence on key assumptions of evolution. | The impact of creation and evolution | We learned about the religious beliefs of the founders of the United States. | | We studied the interconnectivity of varies ideologies and practices. How evolution has had a negative impact on society through these ideologies. | | We learned how evolution has been used to justify racism, hatred and other immoral practices, such as Margaret Sanger's justifications for abortion. | | We saw how bad science, such as embryonic recapitulation, was used to support evolution. We examined the harmful impact this has had on society. | The history of evolution | We traced the beliefs about origins from Babel to the time of Darwin showing the emphasis on a natural rather than supernatural event. | | We studied the similarities and differences of the Great Chain of Being and evolution. | | |
